Hospital Antitrust Litigation
The Project
One of the largest hospital networks in the Midwest, and its national law firm, teamed with LawyerLink in a complex antitrust lawsuit to review documents, perform subjective coding and evidence analysis, prepare a complex privilege log and prepare for depositions.
Challenges Met
- Litigation counsel had no prior experience reviewing and analyzing ESI, and had never worked with a team of contract attorneys.
- The team implemented subjective coding of the documents for 10 substantive issues.
- Within five weeks, the LawyerLink team reviewed, coded, and developed a privilege log for over 125,000 potentially privileged documents.
- Within two weeks, the LawyerLink team reviewed and issue-coded 120,000 non-privileged documents in preparation for upcoming depositions.
- LawyerLink successfully integrated 20 additional reviewers into the project when faced with substantially increased document volumes and tight deadlines, to ensure that each phase of the project was completed on-time.
- LawyerLink’s Project Managers quickly adjusted team size and work hours throughout the project, based on deposition schedules and interim production deadlines.
High Performance Delivered
- LawyerLink’s proprietary team structure and project management techniques accommodated rapidly-evolving deadlines and project objectives.
- LawyerLink consistently met or exceeded aggressive deadlines for each segment of the project, while maintaining rigorous quality control.
- LawyerLink maintained consistent communication with the client throughout the duration of the project, and kept the client apprised of the progress of the review.
- Client expressed satisfaction with the LawyerLink team every step of the way.
